How to Gift a Meal or Subscription

We’ve all been there – we know someone who could use a little help. Maybe it is a friend who recently gave birth. Maybe it is a parent who is living independently but struggling with meal planning and prep. Maybe it is someone who is going through a life change and could use a reminder that they aren’t alone. The clichéd movie scene of someone walking around lost in a grocery store is clichéd for a reason. In times of stress or transition, figuring out what to eat can be overwhelming. Many of us tend to either over- or under-eat, and to make poor food selections.

In times of stress, transition, even joy, food is both thoughtful and practical. A well-prepared, nutritious meal can bolster you, make you feel loved, and help you think more clearly.

One of the things we love best about Eat Smart is being able to provide a little help when someone needs it. We would love to be there for you when you want to provide some help to your friends and loved ones.

You can gift Eat Smart meals in a couple of different ways:

  1. Sign up for a subscription. This is a great option for new parents. Rather than set up a schedule for friends to deliver meals, you can sign up for a gift subscription. We will make and deliver meals for the duration of the subscription, and you can let us know how long (1 month, etc) you want the subscription to last. When it is over you can cancel online or let us know via email that you are ready to stop.
  2. Order meals and have them delivered. Just place an order through our online store, and choose “individual home or office delivery.” Put the recipient’s name and home or work address in the delivery fields. If you have any special instructions, add them to the comments. We will prep the gift meals and deliver them for you, and let the recipient know who the meals are from.
  3. Send a gift card. This is a great option if you are sending to someone who would most enjoy selecting their own meals, or if you want the meals to be available at a future date.
